During his time at Isaacs and Company, Lewin completed transactions across North America on behalf of brands that reflect his deep interest in the growing intersection of urban and outdoors lifestyles. His clients are some of the most exciting names in the fashion and active arenas, including Acne Studios, Stone Island, GANNI, Totême, Alexander Wang, KENZO, Fjällräven, Black Diamond Equipment, Aether and Moose Knuckles.

In addition to L3 Capital, Kemerling worked at The Dartmouth Company as a Principal and Partner for nearly 12 years, where he worked with an extensive array of clients including, SL Green, RFR Real Estate, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp, Life Time Fitness, Indochino, Lindt Chocolate, Brickworks, Compass Real Estate and more.

“I’m excited to address our clients’ needs through comprehensive real estate advisory services,” said Lewin.” I’m absolutely thrilled to join such an accomplished organization and to be a part of this incredibly strong and ambitious team.”

“I joined AMPS for the opportunity to be a part of a core team dedicated to building an efficient and productive advisory business,” added Kemerling. “AMPS in particular has a great diversity of business lines and unique company history that differentiates the firm. I look forward to growing with the team and continuing to make an impact in the evolving CRE industry.”

Lewin’s landlord representation experience includes significant property assignments in some of New York City’s foremost retail areas. He was part of the leasing team at the former Whitney Brownstones at 933-943 Madison Avenue that brought luxury north of 72nd Street, and he was part of the leasing team at the Gansevoort Row development that is creating a new epicenter in the Meatpacking District. Lewin has been involved in leasing assignments throughout SoHo, and his innovative placement of numerous brands in lower SoHo has been instrumental in transforming this part of the neighborhood into one of the most desirable areas for forward-thinking fashion and design-oriented tenants.

Kemerling was an integral part of the team awarded the prize for the Most Ingenious Deal of the Year from REBNY in 2019 for Life Time Fitness’s 74,000 square-foot lease at 1 Wall Street. Additionally, he has continuously been a recipient of CoStar’s Annual Power Broker award.

Regarding the current retail climate, Lewin said “As national markets recover tenants and property owners recognize the enduring importance of physical settings in an increasingly omni-channel environment. Both groups are seeking deeper data-driven analysis and intuitive forecasting when weighing expansion opportunities and risks.”

“Right now is a crucial and exciting time in commercial real estate as we turn the corner towards 2022,” said Kemerling. “The return of tourism and the office population to New York will be extremely important. As advisors, we need to understand the bigger picture and how macroeconomic trends will affect our clients’ businesses. I am excited to begin at AMPS, where we’re able tap into the company’s breadth of knowledge and data.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lewin began his professional career working with progressive fashion and lifestyle brands at BlackBook Magazine.

Kemerling serves on the Associate Board at Project Renewal NYC, as a member of ICSC, and as a volunteer at The Bowery Mission. He received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The University of Michigan.
